2 min rule, if your busy say, ill be right with you with a smile.... 😀...if its more then 5 mins and you don't address the customer, and your chatting with your high school friends, We leave and hit the place next door...Second...Please don't disappear in the back for a smoke or something to eat and leave the bar unattended...young bartenders in the USA do this all time. this is not a third world country. for example in costa rica, during a soccer game, the bus driver pulls to the side of the road to watch the game....and bartenders stop serving drinks while the game is on...Dont be like this lol....:-) Last TIP...never under estimate anyone thinking they don't have money. i seen homeless looking people give 20 and 100 dollar tips...💰

I work as a wedding/event coordinator at an event center. I have NO prior experience with that or bartending but here I am 2 months into it, coordinating events and bartending at these events. This is part time work so I’m looking to bartend at a local bar for some more cash flow, wish me luck on getting my foot in the door!
Is practicing with water the same or would timing be off?
If you’re making $20,000 a year bartending you’re probably working part time.
I have been working as a bar back for like 3 years in Chicago, in all the places I worked before they don't give me opportunity to grow as a bartender, I'm not an expert on cocktails but I know pretty well the basics, I was thinking attending to a bartending school so I can learn more than on my actual job. please let me know if you got any advise for me.
This is very useful. Thank you for posting this. I enjoy your down to earth style. Very helpful information. 👍🏾
Extremely useful information and insight, but please for the love of all that is sacred, turn the music down. I can barely focus on what you're saying.
Bro is quietly talking over loud music what a smart man
''Be a team player'' is the best advice in this video I guess
Ive seen a couple of idiots try to do it with regular beer and ended up burning their lip bc it was preformed incorrect
Stay calm, smile and only keep eye contact with the person your making a drink with
The trick with the knife in the middle of half a lime ( 9min : 30 sec) so that you get the 4 beautiful half-wheels is my favorite, thank you so much for the insight <3 !
Thanks for this. It helped a lot.
Hi! Great video. Just wanna say that the music was a little loud and it made it hard to concentrate/hear you. I think your content was great but just something to consider when making more videos! Thanks for the vid!
The information you shared was very helpful and I appreciate you putting out videos to help aspiring bartenders like myself. Thank you!
Did u get casted?
Thank you my friend great advices
Answer : be a pretty skinny white girl with no ass and you'll get hired easy

I got a bartending job coming up at a nightclub with no experience.. thanks for the tips 🫶
With no experience try catering bartending and learn all the cocktails. Then go for a bar job.
I've been Bartending 12 years. Either you work for a bar, do catering gigs, or do your own private gigs. Private gigs are best. you'll make 300- 500 cash for maybe 6 hours, but it's a side gig and it's largely seasonal. The best option is probably teaching it, but you need the experience.
Like the type-writer method advice and look to the guests you’re gonna serve/keep your head down!
I got a job at a 5* star hotel as a Bartender and I’m really anxious because I’ve never worked in a big hotel and I only have a few experience and one bartender certificate. I watch videos all day trying to learn more before I go there edit: also in the interview they didn’t show me the drink menu or tell me if there is a bar manager there to help me or if I’m with someone behind the bar. 😢 I’m a barista and I can multitask but idk if I can do that in a 5* hotel
This guy knows the Arcane Knowledge! Jokes aside, thank you so much this advice really healped me, even 13 years on
Love the "am I missing anything?" or "did I forget something?" towards the guests. Also just need to relax haha
Ghetto???
North Carolina is necessary license bartending 😮😮
getting back into bartending ...years ago I worked for about 5 years in a high end nyc bar...I SWEAR I MADE MAYBE 6 DRINKS IN 5 YEARS lol tons of manhattans martinis cosmos and beer wine scotch vodka soda rum and coke etc. thats it!!!
In Canada you need two pieces of id, sometimes they barely glance at it other times they pull out a flashlight and really examine it
Thank you❤
Yes sir i m a bar back and i want to move on to bartender
I used to bar tend. For the most part the ids were legit but we did at times have people try to pull a fast one. Our bar explained the difference between fake and false though. Fake is basically just putting your picture and information on a card and changing the DOB. False is trying to use somebody else’s id as if it were your own. Fake though we would give them a chance to just leave. Only if they tried to push the issue is when we’d have to threaten to get the police involved. False was different that we were told to get the police involved because that’s basically an identity theft case. While they’re both wrong and bad False was more severe than Fake in our bars eyes because False you’re trying to say you’re somebody else hence identity theft. Fake you’re saying you are your self but just trying to pass as older.
This is some really lazy content. No instructional value at all
"How much" when starting like is an important question indeed. Get an idea of the price for an established caterer who can bring a marching band if desired.
I always thought the whisky shot was to be drunk first, then followed or "chased" by the beer sip by sip. The effect is as strong as the chugging, but is gradual and longer lasting.
I'm a high end single malt scotch lover but out of these choices I would grab the Powers! I enjoy it! Red Breast 21 is what I usually drink if choosing an Irish Whiskey. Great video!
Sweet content ahah
Great info but the music was a little too distracting in my opinion
For someone with ADHD, this music is the perfect level, please do not apologise 🤣🤣
Bartending is fine meaning of really wants to do bartending jobs
Coreyblack you too have just woke me down I just got a little bit tired 😴
Coreyblack have you too see to see you see you too too have a you
Shared this with my entire staff. Great stuff
I've got 18 years in. Very accurate stuff here. Run the math. If you make 20% in tips off of your sales which is what the avg person will do (18% male/22% female) then you need to consistently hit $2,000 in sales every single shift on average. Most places will limit you in one way or another. If the sales are that high consistently then they will open additional bar stations to dilute the sales or you will have to compete against other people wanting to work. Extremely difficult to make happen on a consistent basis unless you are in a high end hotel with a good shift base or have the ability to rotate through the hottest night clubs.
